Example Projects and Case Studies

The following are examples of projects from last year:-

A sheltered housing complex applied for funding to purchase gardening materials to encourage residents outside to take an interest in gardening.  A Parkhill Court resident said

We were delighted to receive the funding for our project, the bulbs we planted are coming up and it is exciting to see the results of our hard work which has been noticed by the Council who have said they will do some improvement work which will benefit all the tenants."

Abi Clark applied for funding to set up a support group for people who have experienced miscarriage, she was inspired to start up the group after she suffered a miscarriage and was disappointed with the lack of resources available.  She added: I wanted to break the taboo of not talking about it."  Abi applied for a small amount of HIF funding need to to get a group established.  “I wanted to break the sterotype of a traditional meeting or counselling sessions where people must announce their problems in front of a group“.

The following example projects and case studies give an indication of the types of projects that can be successfully supported.
